About Institute of transport planning

The Institute of transport planning (ITP) is a structural subdivision of non-governmental organization «Russian transport academy» (RTA), created to improve the quality of scientific research in the field of transport planning. The main tasks of the Institute of Transport Planning of RTA are the generation, development and dissemination of knowledge in the field of transport systems of the country, its regions and cities.
The main functions of the Institute of Transport Planning of RTA are:

conducting research in the field of transport systems of the country, its regions and cities;
creation of a flexible and effective system of rendering educational, consulting and creative services in the field of transport systems of the country, its regions and cities for interested legal and natural persons, including on a contractual basis;
dissemination of scientific and pedagogical knowledge and results of its own activities in the field of transport systems of the country, its regions and cities, including through the media;
execution of custom-made research and development, provision of educational, consulting and other services;
organization of improvement of professional skill of scientific-pedagogical and other categories of workers in the field of transport systems of the country, its regions and cities;
publication and implementation of scientific, methodological and educational literature, reference books, manuals and other publications, including electronic ones, on the topics of the activities of the Institute of Transport Planning of Russian transport academy.
The scientific potential of the staff of the Institute of Transport Planning and non-governmental organization «Russian transport academy» allows solving the problems of transport planning, improving the organization and safety of road traffic at a qualitatively new level. The Institute’s capabilities to attract the best specialists and scientific schools of non-governmental organization «Russian transport academy» to solve a wide range of practical problems in the field of transport planning are in demand by the heads of the executive authorities of the cities and regions of our country.
